ABOUT DISNEY'S FOUR SEASONS RESORT

Opening in the summer of 2014, the Four Seasons Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort will be the next Grand Floridian Resort. The Four Seasons features its own golf course, an on-site spa, and a host of swimming pools and water adventurelands for its guests. The burning question on every guest’s mind will indubitably be, “What should we do first?”

The Four Seasons Orlando will have a little bit of everything for everyone. Families especially should plan to spend a day at the Resort’s Explorer Island, a water wonderland packed with fun for all. Whether you want to spend your time floating down the Lazy River, splashing around in the Splash Zone, or taking advantage of the basketball court or beach volleyball court, there is a ton of fun to be had.

The Resort’s golf course offers lessons and play for all, with special programming for new golfers. The golf course was designed by Tom Fazio, and is newly renovated for 2014 and managed by Four Seasons. The golf course is a certified Audubon Cooperative Wildlife Sanctuary, and features a pro shop, driving range, putting green, and club rental.

If tennis is your game, be sure to take advantage of one of the three Har-Tru tennis courts. The services of an on-site tennis pro are available, and you can take lessons or enjoy free play with friends and family. The tennis court offers singles and doubles tournament games, and a ball machine is on the court for additional convenience.

You also won’t want to miss the Spa at Four Seasons, since it offers a complete relaxation experience in a setting that echoes the peace and natural beauty of the Everglades. The Spa at Four Seasons will offer you your choice of progressive body and beauty treatments, and will be sure to help you relax and restore your body and mind.

Traveling as a couple without children? Be sure to spend some time at The Oasis, the Four Seasons Orlando’s adults-only pool and be pampered by the Resort staff. Then, you can freshen up for dinner at the 17th-floor terrace of Capa, the Resort’s rooftop steakhouse that overlooks the fireworks at Magic Kingdom Park.

Speaking of dining, the Resort features four restaurants and two lounges, so it is sure to offer your choice in cuisine, no matter what that might be. Ravello is a live-action “show kitchen,” where modern Italian cuisine is prepared right before your eyes. PB&G will offer you a fun meal of American barbecue dishes on a restaurant platform suspended over the lake. Finally, Plancha offers a picturesque lakeside setting where you can enjoy fresh Cuban-American cuisine such as the Cubana sandwich, empanadas, or a chorizo burger.

To sum it all up, the Four Seasons Orlando promises to be the premier Resort destination for Orlando. Even if you never make it to one of Disney’s parks, you will find plenty to do at the Resort and enjoy every moment you spend there.
